Kierra's design never really changed drastically. She's always had her basic body shape and facial design, but let's go through this thing anyway!
1: Her first design: a sad, pathetic little orphan who the monkey team "adopted", sort of like Thingy. She wore a side ponytail and was very sweet and shy. Also, she had a tail, which would stick around for a very long time. You can see normal paws and feet, and small ears.
2: Trying out other designs, and I realized that she looked better without a dress. I also played around with her color scheme here.
3: Introduced the giant ponytail w/ bow, hair side curl thing, arm bands, and her ears now turned into thicker, sturdier ears. More color scheme changes.
4: I played around with her hair length and color scheme a lot. XD By now, it was mainly minor tweaks like eye color and whether or not she has arm bands.
5: Gave her pink eyes and claws here. Really not sure why. OMG, look at the way I drew monkeys. Even back then they were disproportional. XD
6: After I forgot about and came back to the character, I realized that Kierra looked too much like a monkey for my liking. So I chopped of her tail, inflated her claws, and changed her feet to also be claws. Her ears remained blocky...
7: Until I changed them here. I also made her tinier, something that I've decided not to bother with nowadays. XD
8: What I thought would be her final colors, but she wound up being a ton more pastelly in the future.
9: As seen here. I also extended her gloves. The finished Kierra, celebrate!

Hey guys! Decided it was time for a bit of fun and starting today, I'm making these new 'mini contests' called the "DRAW LIKE MAD" challenges. Every few months I'll have another one, but the intent of these contests is to get you thinking outside of the box, using skills you aren't used to, and much more to make you a more creative person and feeling good about it every step of the way!
So I'm here to issue Challenge 1.) The Character iteration meme.
Now I know that's rather intimidating in how it sounds but let me explain. We all design characters, we all start from somewhere, right? Remember back in 6th grade when you doodled your first OC? Yeah, me neither (lol). Anyway, the point of this challenge is:

I remember you mentioning in another picture, I believe, how Kierra used to be more of a pity character than anything. It is so interesting to see how she has developed in both her personality and in her back story. I think it makes your final product look BETTER in comparison, if that was even POSSIBLE.
Really no room for critique because of the nature of the picture. But this was INCREDIBLY interesting, and thanks for showing us!
